Stirring The Plot A CookBook Nook Mystery by Daryl Wood
Gerber conjures up a great mystery. This third book in the CookBook Nook Mystery
series is 5 stars plus. Halloween is a special time in Crystal Cove and this
year not only do the Winsome Witches go all out to make it a fun unique
adventure for the tourists and town, it becomes even more spooky and mysterious
when the leader of the Winsome Witches is murdered and Jenna’s Aunt Vera is a
suspect in the murder. Jenna has to help Aunt Vera find who killed her friend
and fellow Winsome Witch and clear Aunt Vera’s name before something happens to
her too.
This book is great and just in time to make it a must read
to get you into the Halloween spirit. I love Aunt Vera and her quirkiness. All of the Winsome Witches have an unique
story of their own and the way they all fit into to the plot makes it a guessing
game of who could be the murderer. I always like a good mystery that is unpredictable
and has enough different suspects that you don’t figure out whodunit right off
the bat. I like a good puzzle that you have to keep reading to get all the
puzzle pieces before you know who the killer is and that is exactly what you
have in this book.
Jenna is becoming more comfortable at Crystal Cove and is
becoming a strong independent woman who has moved on for the most part from her
husband’s death. Her relationship with Rhett is taking off and that just adds
an extra plus to the book. This book is full of suspense, unique suspects, romance,
mystery, a surprise ending and is all tied up with the Halloween spirit and
fun. It is a must read, you won’t be disappointed. I recommend it highly. It
also includes recipes!
